I have been an investor with ‘ReadyLet’ for the last couple of years, purchasing with one property and now three. It is a professional yet friendly set up with full management, ideal for the first-time investor to the advanced portfolio landlord. I would, and have recommended them, to friends and clients alike.

Super Sceptical - When my wife and I first started looking into low cost, high yield properties we were both very sceptical, especially my wife. We spoke at some length with Gill from the company and she really took time to explain everything, so much so that we decided to drive to Durham the following weekend and see for ourselves what the fuss was all about. We met with Gill and Keith and also Glyn who took us to see a few properties.
My main concern was that I could buy several properties in the area (on right move),the difficulty is that some areas do not rent well and you will end up with a trashed property!!! This is where Gill and Glynn's know-how really come into its own. As they rent the properties for you, they need to make sure that the property will rent.
We are both so glad we met the team, two years on and we now have seven properties and will be adding another this year
Great people to deal with, the whole process is made very simple.
My communications with Keith and Gill have been excellent from initial conversations through to purchase completions.I appreciated and found valuable the opportunity to speak to other investors, who had already invested earlier about their experiences, being one aspect which helped me decide whether to invest.
I visited the area and spent time with your project manager, who showed me the area and discussed with me the properties in which I was interested,he was very communicative and helpful.
I think the system of support Readylet offers to tenants is excellent as this helps both tenant socially, and landlord economically,so keeping satisfied landlords who will continue to invest. Housing stock will improve, and will eliminate confliction between landlord and tenant.
Being very happy with my investment,I do wonder if there will be any capital increase in value of a house in the area say in 5 years time,a question which isn't possible to answer at present. This is obviously due to many different aspects, including local economy.
A point I would mention, I am uncertain on the policy of who pays for repairs to a property. As Readylet renovates and offers the properties for sale as such, is there an initial period after purchase date that Readylet carries the cost of any repairs? I mention this as I note there was a £175 repair charge for a corroded pipe on 26 Ascot Street on 31st January when I had purchased the property on 11th December 2019.*
Lastly I would mention that when entering a new investment package,I was keeping My eyes open at every stage, looking for any pitfalls,or anything which made me feel uncomfortable.,and I can honestly say that I found nothing of concern, everything was up front, it has been a pleasure talking and dealing with Keith and Gill who are very helpful and make you feel part of the team, and when appropriate doing further investments with you all in the future.
*Our response to this query was as follows; the refurbishment work that is carried out is guaranteed for the first 6 months, our team of builders that work full time in the area, are immediately on hand to fix any other maintenance issues in a cost effective manner. If you have been charged for the pipe this would be because it was not an item covered by the refurbishment.
